Overdue-ing

Hey, were you hoping this was going to be some sort of awesome baby announcement or birthing news?!

So were we!!!

Despite family arriving, a baptism, the car breaking down (goodbye $4G) and 6 hours of touristy/museum walking in the 24 hours of the "due date" there's still just no action in that department, unfortunately. (Unless my mysterious bout of flu-like vomiting last night was a trigger or something...still TBD.)

But we've had loads of fun. Before family arrived we had an Anne of Green Gables marathon (did you know there are four movies?), gave last minute talks/lessons at church, and hit the Brick Expo for some amazing and impressive lego creations. It was like a mini-Legoland in Canberra. Roller coasters, moving trains, plus Star Wars central, very cool - these guys are genius designers and very passionate about their passion.

One day Will randomly wanted to make apple pie. I was confused but not one to argue - do we need to have an excuse to make pie? We all actually ended up liking the tangy rhubarb even better though.

While trying to think up a good way to prepare/eat the peels we looked over, saw Summer and said, "Hey, why mess with a good thing?"

And of course, cousins, cousins and more cousins time. My niece, Lindsay, and her cousin accompanied my mom over here and man, my girls are in heaven! Hair-dos, wrestling, giggling, dancing, music, treats. (Poor Will really can't wait for some more male representation here now, but on the positive side he's holed up in his room just flying through the Harry Potter series, so...) We've been to the shops, exchanged $, had the missionaries over, visited Tidbinbilla Nature Preserve, Questacon, and the kangaroos up the hill. Strong start to their trip - I'm glad the baby wasn't here yet so we could get a few things checked off the their list (despite the car being in the shop, we're still able to go out in smaller groups with a blessed borrowed car from work.)

 

 We spent one day walking the city museums. I mostly waddled (see above pic.) These girls are so awesome with my hyper, loving daughters who constantly maul them.

Then we came home and cut off all Kenna's hair. I'd held out saying "GramB could do it" hoping she'd forget, but it's now official. And it was scary. And she's still cute as ever.

And of course, Annie couldn't resist following suit.

Don't ask me what this face is.

 And of course, GramB's staying home giving Summer and Will super special time which they are absolutely eating up :)

Still playing the waiting game, but really enjoying the "big family" feel these guys give us~!
