So the D-Man's been gone for a couple weeks doing work related stuff in the States, including Memorial Day weekend in... ahem, Hawaii. Not being the beachy type that his CA roots would lead you to assume, a couple days in and he was bored. What I wouldn't have given to trade places with him...
Anyway, we are sooooo thrilled to have him back. Poor guy is a magnet for hairy travel shenanigans so it's always a rough ride (this time it was some sort of "bird trouble" requiring a change of planes, missed flight home and extra night in Sydney - a mere 30 min flight away, darn it.) Fortunately, Grandma Raynie had thoughtfully timed an enormous "treat" package to arrive that day, so the kids especially were distracted from the disappointment of his delayed arrival.

And I'm talking a serious box'o'sugar.
She'd asked for "American things they missed" and basically covered their list.
I'll let the pictures do the talking:

| dinner, anyone? |

| such cute homesewn baby blankie and car seat cover - love the tag :) |
And you know your thoughtful mother in law truly knows you when she sends you JUST what you need!
Funny thing is, the day before, my aunt sent this surprise package:
 |
| giant box of fist-sized marshmallows (taste different here) |

And of course Daddy brought presents and treats as well. So the celebrations continued throughout the weekend.
Top that sugar rush off with our traditional chocolate fountain "homecoming" and we are officially OVERDOSED.
It was awesome.
That is one awesome care package from your mom! Glad Darren got back safely.
