There's a special place in my heart reserved for Japan.
I spent just six weeks there with a performing group fresh out of high school and fell. in. love. The culture, the customs, the FOOD, the respect, the people, the breathtaking beauty of the countryside. I drank it in and have always wanted to go back. I keep trying to convince D to apply for a tour there, but he hasn't had opportunity to catch the vision of Asia just yet...
My heart truly goes out to the devastation and suffering the people of Japan are experiencing right now. Between the news coverage, the buttons on blogs, and a group of sweet Aussie Japanese collecting donations at the Canberra Festival celebrations last night - the Japanese people remain on my mind.
