Kangaroo Beach

Technically, we skipped summer this year, so we've been itching for a beach fix. A few weekends ago we packed up for a day trip to the coast and boy, was it great. We listened to LDS Conference on the 2 hour drive and, following a few tips from a local friend, found some gorgeous little spots.

Are we happy to be here or what? (South Durras Beach)

mmmm - you know what comes after beach babies eat sandy food, right?

I've never seen so many beautiful and various shells on one beach - it was incredible

lost track of D for a while only to find him here - sometimes Dad needs a break from all that fun... (actually, despite being from California, he has this thing about sand, but that's another story)

this guy hopped out to watch the action
North Durras Beach

down the road was a little vision called "Pebbly Beach" - we couldn't believe our eyes

joey going for a drink in mama's pouch
I was very unsure about petting WILD kangaroos, but Annie was not

big kids following suit (once the 4yr old gives them the thumbs up)
Will braving up for the "hug"

these girls were in paradise - they wanted them all as pets

Boatshed at Bateman's Bay - hands down best fishnchips to date

perfect end to a perfect day: hot fresh donuts and icecream
We will be back - can't wait!!

  1. Oh, how lovely! Probably one of my only complaints about Utah is that it is so far away from the ocean -- it's such a fun place to play and explore. And it looks like you had the place kind of to yourselves, what a great spot!
